Hydropower company is the one it’s kind in India with expertise in the design, development, and commissioning of the Micro hydroelectric plants. We are the first in Kerala to connect a Microhydroelectric plant to the LT grid of distribution network of Kerala.
We also dawn the title of being the first IPP micro hydel power producer in Kerala. Our designs leveraging modern technology focuses on being the most cost-effective in operation that translates into power production at the cheapest possible rates.
Our company was founded in early 2004 to set up a generating unit using water in the Periyar Valley irrigation canal in Ernakulam District. The policy for setting up an LV generation Unit was not in place then with the state power utility. The first project we undertook was a POC that helped us gained a lot of attention. It channelized our efforts to put the model into production. High-efficiency generators and increased automation helped in making the system more efficient and reliable.
